Assamese people of GTA(Toronto, Ontario)

A large group of Assamese people reside in Greater Toronto Area. Every year they meet to celebrate Bihu and Annual Picnics and BBQs.

Bihu Celebration in 2009 is held on April 11th at Rivergrove Community Centre in Mississauga.

Is This community still active? are there still get togethers in Bihu? I am from Tezpur and new to Canada and would very much like to be a member of the GTA's assamese community.
